About
kimberly:
I am a 33 yr old college grad[2002] major-mental health/child dev psych. I took 2 post grad courses as well. I have truly have found my place being a (L/O)nanny...caring for a young child is so rewarding. I prefer working one on one with a child, starting as a baby. those have been my best experiences thus far. I have much experience working alongside the birth-to-3 staff to assist language dev. through play. I know some ASL signs, and continue to read about early childhood dev. The youngest i've cared for is 4 weeks old, and I have been a nanny for 11 years. As a hobby, I take ballroom dance lessons.
kimberly's childcare philosophy:
I prefer to start when the child is a baby, allowing a relationship to develop creating a stable routine for everyone. My current nanny job of 4+ yrs ended, sadly. I am doing temp nanny work, but am looking for a new family to start with, preferably with an infant, and preferably lonmg term. I love to take kids outside on walks, to the park, and library. I've also attended music together classes and gymboree! I am very nurtering and loving. I also enjoy doing arts and crafts, puzzles, reading, and games with the kids.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
Potty training is always most challenging. The first two years are the most rewarding, watching the child grow and change, and being an active part of it. Teaching them new things, and seeing them do things you teach them is incredible. I specialize in working with children 4 weeks-4 years.
