About
Joan:
I'm a woman of 62 and have loved children and working with them all my life. I started babysitting at the age of 12 and had a great following. I worked at a daycare center in town when my own two daughters were in elementary school, so I could be there when they needed me. I worked for the center for over 10 years then went on to become a nanny for two little boys. I worked for this family for 5 years until we moved from Conn. to Arizona. In January 2001 I became a nanny for a two month old boy and took care of him until June 2005. He is now in nursery school. Nov. 2006 I have had the pleasure of taking care of two small children who moved to Seattle, Washington. June 2009. June 2009-June 2011 taking care of next door neighbor's son who will be starting kindergarten in July. I would like to work in the Chandler, Gilbert or Mesa area.
Joan's childcare philosophy:
I have worked at a childcare center for over 10 years, then moved on being a nanny for five different families since moving here in 2001. I absolutely love taking care of children, I'm a grandma type!

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
I love taking care of newborns and infants and never really found it to be a challenging job, only to have the babies feel secure and loved! That is my reward! Most of the children I took care of were infants when I started working for the families.
