About
Donna:
I am a young 53 year old who has raised 2 daughters as a single mom. I have worked with a variety of children of all ages. I have worked in a school setting and a daycare center also. I enjoy being around the little ones especially and am very confident with babies. Kids just seem to like me. I can provide references upon request.
I am CPR/First Aid certified.
Donna's childcare philosophy:
I am a pretty laid back nanny. I have a lot of patience with children. I am a very hands on person who will get down on the floor and play with the kids. I am not a T.V. person. I would rather have the kids playing outside where they can run off their energy.
I beleive that kids do best when they have a routine/schedule that they can follow.
I will abide to your methods of discipline. Usually that means a time out and then an explanation of what they did to deserve a time out. Then a kiss.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
First of all I would like to say that I raised my 2 daughters as a single mom. I have cared for newborns and infants in a Christian Day Care Center when my daughter was 2 years old.
During my many years of being a nanny, I have experience with infants and toddlers.
The most challenging part of being a nanny is being responsible yet very interactive with the children.
I found it to be very rewarding watching the infants grown and learn as I taught them every day living skills.
