About
Gina :
Growing up in a large Midwestern family has made me a very hard-working individual with good morals. My college-aged children, tell me that while I stressed proper values, I also was, & remain a very fun, energetic, creative, mom and I share a special friendship with them. I love to be active and am an excellent cook and housekeeper. My kids and grandkids have a hard time keeping up with ME! I’m college-educated with childcare experience in: substitute teaching at grade schools and high schools. I also owned and operated a licensed day-care facility for five years, in which I solely cared for the children.I also have child health care experience in a dental office.Other related experience includes administering a family-owned business which included office and computer experience. I’m a patient, nurturing, vivacious individual with a “can-do”, positive attitude who loves to make children happy.
Gina 's childcare philosophy:
My goal is to provide childcare in a manner that is consistent with the parent’s expectations, working to achieve the goals that they have specifically set for their children.Having raised 6 children of my own,I’m a firm believer that “one size does not fit all” when it comes to childcare;each child differs emotionally & physically in their personalities, abilities,& temperaments. If a child should need discipline, I can provide firm and clear direction in a kind and gentle manner. I like to provide activities for children that are fun & interesting, yet educational so that learning is fun.I chose to raise my young children w/o TV, and prefer to use outdoor activities, sports, art, music, and crafts to entertain and stimulate. I believe that healthy eating and plenty of activity go together, especially with children. My enthusiasm for children compels me to treat every child that I care for as if they were my own, with the desire to leave a positive impact for the rest of their lives.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
I have extensive experience with newborns and infants, having raised six of my own and giving birth to all of them naturally-all breastfed. The most challenging part was the sleepless nights and unpredictable schedules, but those times are short in my memory. The ultimate reward in giving care to the innocent life that solely depends on you, is a happy and healthy, well-rounded child and the bond you share.
