I am a very energetic person who loves being creative, athletic, fun, playful, and caring. I enjoy be able to make a difference in children’s lives as well as them in mine. I love the opportunity to influence children in their everyday life watching them grow and develop. Watching everyday they learn something new and exciting. To be part of something like that is extraordinary and a gift that brings me joy. I am open minded and truthful. I am honest and very reliable. Melissa's childcare philosophy:
With my degrees and experience I am able to help your children grow. I can provide age appropriate exercise with their physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. I understand the needs and wants in young children to help build a strong foundation. Communicating is a key element as children develop their social and emotional skills. Young children learn to develop their own means of expressing themselves and communicating with others by a combination of facial expressions, body language, and other verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. I will have to learn to interpret and understand each child as an individual but also offering up mine as well helps in conversing more clearly. Children are then able to trust you as an equal and as time goes on their physical, cognitive, emotional and social development will continue to shape the human being they will become. I take pride in being part of young children lives while helping them form a strong foundation.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
A year ago I worked for a child care in Gross Elle. I had the opportunity to work with every age group infancy to preschool children. I know and understand the development milestone of each age group. I also had the opportunity to babysit for two twins since they were a couple months old. I found most challenge first meeting the twins is their eatting and sleeping schedules once I was able to understand the certain ways they were use to I had no problems. What I find most rewarding is i was able to watch them grow. With infants they grow twice as fast in one year then a human being will every grow beyond that age. It is rewarding to see the bodys grow and develope in front of your very own eyes. Children are my passion I feel so lucky to be part of their lives.
