About
Yvonne:
I am a healthy, energetic 51 year old lady, who has 3 children 30,16 & 14, as well as taken care of a 3yr old boy in Cambodia for (Aussie Family). I am a trained professional looking to diversify from my norm and really take care of and nurture little ones, after all they are our future. I read - novels, autobiography's, play tennis, do light excercise to maintain my figure and health, swim, snorkel and love warm water oceans, I do modern dance when I have the opportunity and as all females, love to shop and have fun.
I am living in South Africa.
Yvonne's childcare philosophy:
The only way to take care of and ensure a well balance child is to reward when they achieve and chores for them to learn responsibility , children need boundaries, rules and regulations as well as freedom, they must know that we all love them and care for them that is why we as adults give them duties to perform.
Life is to short to be like a RSM, but we all need to know right from wrong. I tend to sometimes give in on the rules or compromise, but having fun together , mutual respect and loving care all around us is the best.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
I worked with a 3yr old little boy - parents owners of a Prive Resort Island in Cambodia. This is my first and the start of a new career - Naryth taught me how rewarding it is to teach children about the world around us, simple caterpillars on leaves held his attention for some time, he asked questions re these and flowers and birds etc., on the island, we painted and drew together, things we saw outside, read stories did English - abc's numbers and stax more, the challenges came when I realised that mom and dad were to busy and found myself getting personally involved in his heartache and how it affected me, I had to replace that love - "No one can replace the love of a Mom/Dad effectively", so mom's and dad's out there value your children and choose the correct person to take care of them.
