Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
I began working with newborns babysitting in my neighborhood as a child. I have had an in home daycare
with newborns through 11 yrs of age. Almost every family I have worked with as a professional nanny had a newborn and a toddler..so I have consistently worked throughtout with newborns and infants. Perhaps the challenging part is simply getting to know the parents , the family needs and desires. I'm often referred to as a "baby whisperer", and have a wonderful
natural way with most babies and children. Being a mother myself, has been an asset in understanding how
moms feel especially when having to leave children with a caregiver. I have personal assistant and terrific household management skills, having run my own home. I therefore donot need
to be "micro-managed" by parents, but quickly rise to the occasion for the familes needs and benefit.
