About
Beth:
I have been a nanny for more than 15 years! I left the last family I took care of full-time because the children started going to school. I was sad to leave them but we stay in touch. Since I left that position I have been working several part-time nanny jobs. I love being a nanny and being able to play every day! I also enjoy making crafts, singing and dancing! Almost six years ago I finally had a baby of my own! I had my second daughter two years ago. I have been bringing both girls with me to my current nanny jobs and need to find a family that is also okay with that. My six year old goes to school all day, so I would mostly just need to bring my 2 year old with me except on days off from school.
A morning only job would be ideal so I could be home to get my oldest daughter off the bus and let my two year old take her nap. If the position was in the same town I live in, it would also be helpful so I could have my daughter take the bus to the family's home.
Beth's childcare philosophy:
I like to play with children and also teach them and show them new things! I feel that I am like a friend to the children that I nanny for! I would rather talk to children about their behavior than punish them for it. I don't believe that you can teach a child right from wrong without talking to them and explaining things to them.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
challenging?
What did you find most rewarding?
I have had lots of newborn experience working with the children I have nannied for and my own two children! Honestly the hardest thing has been the sleep derprivation which obviously wasn't an issue when I wasn't a mom! It is hard to try to figure out sometimes why a newborn is crying. The best part is that newborns love to be cuddled and they love unconditionally!
