My experience caring for children has been through many different roles including day care worker, youth mentor, nursery worker, babysitter and nanny (including both full and part time positions as well as summer nannying).
I have experience working with all different age groups, from newborns to teenagers, as well as experience with multiples (specifically infant triplets).
My child care philosophy is one of talking and understanding. I feel that there are so many opportunities for children to learn and grow and with a guiding hand we can help them get the most out of the world around them.
Along with my years of child care experience, I also have a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I feel that this degree has been immensely helpful in my work in the child care realm because it has given me a way to frame the actions, reactions and needs of a child within the framework of their development.
Carol's childcare philosophy:
I believe that children need a warm and nurturing environment in order to grow and reach their full potential. While discipline is important, I feel that it can be conveyed in a way that lets the child know you care about them and their best interests.

Tell us your experience working with newborns and infants. What did you find most
What did you find most rewarding?
My first nanny job was working with a family who had 4 month old triplets as well as one slightly older child. While I had worked with infants in a daycare and babysitting setting before this job provided me with so much training and invaluable experience. This experience was incredibly rewarding to me as I got to be a part of so many milestones in these young persons lives. I was honored to be there for the first time they crawled, walked, and spoke.
