I have 12 years of experience taking care of children, ages newborn to teen. I also have experience working with children who have special needs. I don''t mind doing laundry, prepping or making dinner, (light) housecleaning, grocery shopping, and errands. I am willing to talk about other things you may need done during the day so you are able to come home and relax instead of worrying about what you need to do. I''m looking for a family who knows what they want and who not only values but appreciates having an experienced nanny and is not afraid of letting her know! I really go above and beyond for my family and charges, and feeling appreciated goes a long way! I''m looking for a family who understands how important communication is because being comfortable with open communication is a must! Please note: For jobs in Oregon I'm open to both live-in and live-out positions. For jobs in all other states I prefer a live-in position. Thank you!

I have been working with children on some level since 2004. I specialize in working with children that have learning disabilities or behavioral issues, from minor needs in catching up with school-work to extensive cases of autism as well as early childhood development from newborns to toddlers. I work with children at home, in the community, and within their social situations to promote positive interactions and learning. I believe that children should be interacted with at the age-appropriate level but always with honesty, patience, and understanding.
