    About Tatum:

Hi! My name is Tatum, and I have a strong passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a positive, nurturing environment. I started babysitting at 14 years old, and since then, I’ve gained both personal and professional experience caring for children of different ages and needs. I have over four years of experience working in after-school programs, where I began as a Recreation Leader and was later promoted to Site Supervisor. In this role, I developed skills in creating engaging activities, managing routines, and ensuring children feel safe, supported, and included. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Education. I’m known for being patient, reliable, and caring. I enjoy building strong connections with children and creating a fun, structured environment where they can learn and feel comfortable being themselves. I value open communication with families and always strive to provide the best care possible.

    In My Own Words

I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old, caring for children of various ages and building long-term relationships with families in my community. Through these experiences, I’ve become comfortable with responsibilities such as preparing meals, helping with homework, organizing fun and engaging activities, and maintaining consistent routines like bedtime and transitions. In addition to my babysitting background, I have over four years of professional experience working in after-school programs. I started as a Recreation Leader and was promoted to Site Supervisor, where I supervised groups of children, supported staff, and ensured a safe, structured, and positive environment. This experience has strengthened my ability to manage different age groups, handle challenging behaviors calmly, and create meaningful, engaging activities. Overall, my experience has taught me how to be patient, reliable, and attentive to each child’s unique needs, while also building strong communication and trust with families.
