Children have always been an interest of mine since I was in high school. I knew immediately that I wanted my career to include working with younger people. I babysat in high school, and went on to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. During my college years I worked at two after school programs, tutored children, and student taught in a 5th grade classroom. My first year of teaching, I got extra training and learned a new program called Math Recovery. I worked one-on-one with 1st and 2nd grade students in math. I loved getting to spend extra time with students and helping them succeed in an area in which they struggled in school. My husband and I just moved to Boston from Texas because he will be attending Tuft's Dental School for the next four years. I am eager to get acquainted with this wonderful city and its people.

Recently I have graduated from St. John's University in Queens, NY obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Originally, I grew up in Pennsylvania and I am currently residing here for the summer upon which I will be moving up to Boston in the beginning of August. After graduating school, I began as a nanny for a family of two girls, ages nine and five. The position will run through the months of June until the end of July. For the girls, I plan daily activities such as crafts like drawing with pastels, baking, golfing, swimming, and going for walks and picnics in the park. At St. John's University I was recruited to play golf for the four years of schooling. I myself absolutely love reading, cooking, and working out. Other experiences I have of working with children are caring for my younger cousins, as well as acting as a mentor for young, aspiring golfers at a summer golf camp.
