I began babysitting for my parents next door neighbor's children when I was 11 years old! Since then, I have provided care for many families in my hometown, as well as worked at two daycare facilities, one with my own classroom of twelve 3-year-olds!! I enjoy creative pursuits such as using dancing as exercise and singing as a learning tool, and have made lesson plans and art projects on numerous occasions. I promise to be devoted to your children and household and treat them both with respect. I''ve taken a few Early Childhood Education courses, as well as First Aid/CPR (my certification is not current however, I will get recertified if you require it!). I've also taken care of all of my friend's children at one time or another, and am soon to be ending a journey with two wonderful families April 5th. I enjoy having a more personal job, and I also enjoy the level of trust and respect that the parental relationship encompasses.

I didn't realize how much I wanted to work with children until I volunteered at a day care in Quito, Ecuador for 2 months a few years ago. Since then, I've realized that working with children is something I want to do for the rest of my life. I worked at Kindercare in Raleigh teaching preschool. This career has been the first time I've experienced a true love for going to work. It was amazing to help my children in my class learn and experience things for the first time. Although I loved my job, it was too much taking care of 20 3 year olds at one time. I knew I wanted to continue to work with children so I sought out a nanny position. I worked for the 1st family I interviewed with for just over 2 years. The only reason I left them was because I moved out of the area to Cleveland. I have been working at a restaurant since I moved here and have realized that working with children is my one true passion. I am looking for a a family that needs an "extension" to their own.
